Yajik Hillang from Arunachal Pradesh brought laurels to India by winning a gold medal at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2025, held in Thimphu, Bhutan. She secured the top position in the women’s model physique category (up to 155 cm), showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication.
In addition to her gold, Hillang also bagged a bronze medal in the women’s swimsuit physique category, adding another feather to her cap. The prestigious championship, hosted by the Bhutan Bodybuilding Association, took place from June 11 to 15 and witnessed participation from top athletes across South Asia. Hillang’s remarkable performance has not only made Arunachal Pradesh proud but has also brought international recognition to India’s growing presence in physique sports.
